Chrome Extension Highlight Comments - How Does It Work?
This Chrome extension is intended for use by individuals only.
How does it work?
When you visit a page with the extension installed, the Highlight Comments page shows any new comments that you have not yet seen. This helps you to get an overview of the conversation without having to leave the page that you are on.
You can even mark a comment as unread so that it is shown to you the next time you visit the page. This way, you do not have to remember the exact time that you were on a page.
Once you are done reading the comments, you can mark all of them as read. This will clear the list of unread comments so that you no longer get notified about them.
The next time that you visit a page that has the Highlight Comments extension installed, it will remember that you have read all of the comments and will not notify you about new ones.
Why does it work?
This extension uses a technique called "highlighting" comments. The comments will be shown to you as soon as you are on the page that contains them.
